Catalyst Force Entry Door
Stand Alone
Mobility
We provide two transporting options to increase the safety and efficiency while reducing the headache of moving and staging your door.
The Wheel System makes a 650 lb. door into a nimble table on wheels. Easy to get up a ramp onto a trailer and even easier to wheel across a parking lot or inside a garage. The wheels are spaced to be cantilevered during the lifting to break up the staging into two separate movements. Two Monster Base Plates accompany the wheel system to create a working platform that increases friction and keeps the door from sliding.
The Forklift Header comes standard on every door. Slots are provided in the header of every door frame so you can easily slide the forks through and move the door to its destination be it across the parking lot or onto a trailer.
Versatility
Locking Combinations: 1-3 dowels plus 2 x 2 wood block options with no need for a wedge to stabilize to maintain consistency. Conduit pipe fits in dowel holes, which is ideal for outward opening / commercial door evolutions.
Trainable Inward and Outward
30”, 32”, or 36” width choices prior to production
Lock & Chain capable
Crush Prop Straps - Included Standard - for mounting real commercial doors to practice crushing edge
Props bolt on/off:
Durability
The Catalyst Force Entry Door is built to last, plain and simple. It is designed to be maintained by your department without the headache of purchasing more parts from us or scheduling service.
AR450 - The Strike Plates run top to bottom the full length of the door allowing the ability to force or strike the door wherever there is YELLOW.
Flex Tech Jambs - our proprietary design and CAD tested jambs allow for realistic flex (and consistent bounce back) for the realism you would experience in a door.
Marine Grade Wood - 7-layer laminate sealed marine grade (“boat”) wood allow for flex and feel of a real door while protection against constant water flow.
Total Number of Evolutions - a wood door strategically reinforced with AR450 is longer lasting than metal, the following doors experienced close to 25,000 forcible entry evolutions before needing service.
No moving parts - A wrench and impact gun for only 2 sized nuts & bolts plus a rubber mallet is all it takes to maintain gap and tightness.
Consistency
Every evolution can be set up the same way every time for thousands of entries. In other words, the C6 Academy Lock Break Mechanism does not need any wedges/consumables applied in addition to the prescribed 2x2 wood block, 3/4” dowels, or 3/4” metal conduit. Thereby, our lock mechanism can be utilized for testing and certification.
The Flex Tech jambs provide a realistic, consistent flex with each evolution. They will flex and give like a real door and spring back to their original state thousands of times over. In fact, after 10 years, we have yet to experience hearing or witnessing a jamb NOT flexing back as it did when it first came off our production line.
Realistic
The result of the previous value-adds of the Catalyst Force Entry Door is that it is the most realistic training door in the market. Through the combination of its design, materials and exhaustive ability to stage out every evolution in your area of operation, the CFED stops being a simulator and becomes a real world replica to ensure the realism needed to be proficient in both tools and skills while on a call.
Materials & Design
Allow for a durability, long-lasting, consistent product that you can rely on to recreate the scenario needing training every time
Functionality
The wood door flexes like a real door while retaining its durability
The Flex Tech jambs react like a real residential and commercial door
The lock mechanism is consistent in housing the consumables and reacts the same each time based on its load
Training Evolution Example:
Add/subtract the props needed to recreate the sequence of events and skills to be trained
Trust the lock mechanism to be set the same each time for testing and standards maintenance
Set a real outward opening commercial door with our Crush Prop to effectively cam and crush a metal door. Only then do you get to link a real door to a training door in the strategic sequence of breaching an outward opening commercial door not found in any other door prop.
Move and stage out the door alone or inside building to fit the training scenario
Use the wheel system to add plywood/sheet-rocked walls for confined space training. Add a tarp and smoke machine to create sensory deprivation training.
Result - A training environment that tests all skills, senses, and level of ability to make every first responder better regardless of experience or years on shift.
