New Product: Ceiling Pull Prop

The Ceiling Pull Prop.

New to our product line. Old to truck training.

It doesn’t get more real than this when it comes to pulling a ceiling in training that can be reset to repeat. Rather than wooden joists and struts we built the frame out of steel with pre-cut slots to add actual wood, sheetrock, and even wiring, HVAC ducts, etc. depending on how REAL you want to take it.

The Ceiling Pull Prop is a hinged levered platform that houses 2x4s and slots a full sheet of drywall to be cotter pinned in place on a 9 ft. conex box or installed in your existing training tower (welding required, bolt-in in the works).

It is designed with two major values in mind for training:

  • Tool utilization and skill

  • A prop that houses materials used in real construction to create an actual ceiling providing directly applicable feedback paralleling a real scenario

To Load:

Simply pull the two cotter pins out of their slots. Lower the hinged platform. The chain length will stop it from falling any further. You can change the length of the chain as you see fit. If not already installed, add the 2x4s in their designated slots. Screw in using the pre-drilled holes to lock the 2x4s in place. Slot the 4x8 sheet of drywall. If the drywall is thicker than 5/8”, unscrew the Heim Joints (use a ladder) until they seat further out for a flush, tight fit against and across the full length of drywall. Secure in place by pushing the platform backup to its original ceiling height and reaffix the two cotter pins.

Help:

Use two people. It’s way easier and much faster to load and set up. Also, drywall is not as sturdy when transported horizontally over vertically.

Add to the Evolution:

What’s even more valuable is that wires and ductwork can be added to the ceiling prop to really jam up the training evolution. Once you punch through the drywall, electrical wiring and HVAC ductwork can tangle your New Hook or equivalent and create an unforeseen problem you need to solve immediately.

Either way, the prop is as real as it gets without using a real acquired structure.

We’re excited to provide it with you to make your training as realistic and relevant to a real world scenario as possible.
